Five Days with ITV/Channel 4

Presenting for television may seem glamourous, exciting and perhaps satisfying in that so much attention is given to you with cameras, sound recordists, researchers, Directors and an entourage all hanging on your every word.

OK, it is.

BUT, here is a big but, it is VERY tiring, physically exhausting and mentally draining. I am not one for trying to hog the limelight or pushing myself on TV (though I have been on several occasions) - but this WAS different! Very different.

Contractually, I am not permitted to talk about the programme until it is aired, which is in (so I am reliably told) approximately five weeks time. I can honestly say, television time is television time and nothing ever seems to go to plan.

So what was I doing with ITV/Channel 4 for five whole days? Can't tell you. They won't let me (at this moment).

It's an interesting story and one I'd love to tell you about - and I will as soon as I have permission... honestly.

  The Chris Tabor interview

Brief snippet:
Filming started at 2:00pm on Monday 28th March in Coventry (at a secret location - all will be revealed in a few weeks time).

From Coventry we moved to Kenilworth and to my home. They initially interviewed me on one of our sofas. The Director (Mel - a BAFTA nominee for "One Born Every Minute") asked a series of pointed and probing questions for the programme. These Directors are smart cookies!

We them moved into the kitchen where we talked at length about Chocolate, Chocolate Fountains and the industry. We finally finished talking at 4:45pm

At 5:00pm a taxi picked me up and whisked me off to the first of many secret locations throughout the entire week.

We filmed and talked about chocolate amongst other things for five whole days. My guests were fascinating and most enlightening! More later.

The upshot is: I had a great time, the down-side is: I lost my voice half way through filming! More later - promise.

When I agreed to do the programme, I had to sign upteen contracts, forms and various statements. One contract of course contained a confidentiality clause; not to reveal the programme's identity or content until the programme had been shown. Being a person of my word, I can't reveal any more... call back and when it has gone live, I'll give you the full low-down!

Thanks.
