Chocolate Fountain Questions

What exactly is a Chocolate Fountain?

A Chocolate Fountain machine is a device for passionate pleasure! It consists of a bowl (with a sophisticated thermostatically controlled heater beneath), a centre column and a set of tiers.

Chocolate is warmed to a liquid state in the bowl. The hollow column contains an auger. The auger is an Archimede's screw where the melted chocolate is drawn up the centre column from the bowl and is then allowed to cascade down over the tiers, where-upon the process starts all over again.

How long can the Chocolate Fountain be used for?

Many, many hours! Because of the thermostat, the chocolate will stay in a warm melted state.

Where did the idea of the Chocolate Fountain come from?

Unfortunately not the United Kingdom. The idea is American. Chocolate Fountains have caught on in a BIG way in America. It is becoming more common at weddings to have a chocolate fountain than a wedding cake! Judging by the calls we receive, within a short space of time it will be exactly the same here!

What do I need to do in order to hire a Chocolate Fountain?

First thing is to give us a call. Let's discuss your needs, wants, desires and budget. If you like what we suggest, we can then check diaries to see if we are free that day.

What does Passion for Chocolate require from me?

Once we have discussed your needs, wants and desires we will liase with the venue and make all necessary arrangements. Our goal is to make your event (on our part) stress free, enjoyable and totally, 100% FANTASTIC!

How long is the rental period?

Unlike most other Chocolate Fountain companies, we do NOT stipulate you have exactly 2 hours, or 3 hours to enjoy the Fountain. We consider this YOUR event and we are there to help you enjoy it. As such, we do not 'lay-down' specific times. We start at your given time,and when everyone has finished (a natural 'end') we will start the shut-down procedure. We are absolutely flexible.

General questions

Does the chocolate contain nuts or traces of nuts?

Due to the nature of a Chocolate Fountain and its dips, we unfortunately cannot guarantee, state or imply that it is nut free. Sorry.

Who looks after the Chocolate Fountain during my event?

Passion for Chocolate supply Chocolatiers well trained in running and maintaining the fountain, helping, guiding and assisting your guests in Fountain etiquette and of course, making sure that everyone who wants to is able to 'dip away' to their hearts' content.
